msk ACID!は、完全に無秩序なMIDIを作るためのランダム生成器ではありません。反復、変化、同音反復、休符、シンコペーション、Accent、Slide、音程跳躍、フレーズ終端などを評価し、複数候補から音楽的に利用しやすいフレーズを選びます。msk ACID! is not an unrestricted random-MIDI generator. It evaluates repetition, variation, repeated notes, rests, syncopation, Accent, Slide, pitch movement and phrase endings, then selects a musically usable result from multiple candidates.

C〜BのKEYと、Minor / Major / Dorian / Phrygian / Chromatic / Acidからスケールを選択。Choose a key from C to B and a scale from Minor, Major, Dorian, Phrygian, Chromatic or Acid.

STYLE、BARS、ACID RANGE、ACID Sliderを含む現在条件から複数候補を生成・評価し、新しいフレーズを決定します。Builds and evaluates multiple candidates from the current STYLE, BARS, ACID RANGE and ACID Slider settings, then chooses a new phrase.

MIDI DRAG
PLAY MODEで完成した演奏をStandard MIDI FileとしてDAWへDrag & Drop。Accent、Slide、Swing、Octaveや記録した音色変化も再現用データへ。Drag the finished PLAY MODE performance into your DAW as a Standard MIDI File, including Accent, Slide, Swing, Octave and recorded sound changes needed for recall.
ACID STYLE
同じ条件でもフレーズは変わるSame setup.

STYLEはClassic、Rolling、Syncopated、Hypnotic、Aggressive、Melodic、Weirdの7種類。Weirdも完全ランダムにはせず、音楽的な範囲を維持したうえで変則性を高めます。Seven styles are available: Classic, Rolling, Syncopated, Hypnotic, Aggressive, Melodic and Weird. Even Weird stays within a musical range while increasing irregularity.
ACID RANGE / OCTAVE
音域は広げても無秩序にはしないExpand the range.

ACID RANGEはLOW / HIGHで生成に使えるオクターブ範囲を指定します。AUTOをONにするとACID!を押すたび、STYLEに応じた重み付けで範囲を決定。範囲を広げても、大跳躍の連続抑制など音楽的な評価は維持します。ACID RANGE sets the octave area available to the generator with LOW and HIGH. With AUTO on, each press of ACID! selects a range using STYLE-dependent weighting while the musical scoring still discourages uncontrolled large jumps.
OCTAVEは完成済みPLAY MODEフレーズ全体を非破壊で-1 / 0 / +1オクターブ移調します。OCTAVE non-destructively shifts the completed PLAY MODE phrase by -1, 0 or +1 octave.

OSC / FILTER
Waveform + Filter
PULSE / SAW / SINE / NOISE / FMの5波形。Cutoff 60 Hz〜18 kHz、Resonance 0.0〜1.0を主要コントロールとして大きく配置しています。Five waveforms: PULSE, SAW, SINE, NOISE and FM. Cutoff from 60 Hz to 18 kHz and Resonance from 0.0 to 1.0 are the main large-format controls.
CHARACTER
MUTANT + FX + VOLUME
ENV、DECAY、DRIVE、MUTANTに加え、DISTORTION、BPM同期1/8 Note DELAY、内部MASTER VOLUMEを装備。VOLUMEは音源・エフェクト後段で0〜100%を制御し、DAWのトラック／ミキサーVolumeとは独立しています。MIDI CC27対応です。ENV, DECAY, DRIVE and MUTANT are joined by DISTORTION, a BPM-synced 1/8-note DELAY and an internal MASTER VOLUME. VOLUME controls the final plug-in output from 0-100%, independently of the DAW track/mixer fader, and responds to MIDI CC27.
SWING / ACCENT / SLIDE
ノートだけでなくアシッドの動きまでNot just notes.

SWINGは偶数側16分ステップを後方へ移動し、MIDI DRAGでも実際のNote開始位置へ反映します。AccentはMIDI Velocityへ、SlideはNote OverlapとCC65 / CC5を使って書き出します。SWING delays even-numbered 16th-note steps and is written into the actual MIDI note timing. Accent becomes MIDI velocity, while Slide is exported with note overlap plus CC65 and CC5.
ACID Sliderは自動生成時のSlide量・頻度を0〜128で調整します。ACID Slider controls the amount and frequency of generated Slide from 0 to 128.
PLAY MODE / MIDI MODE
生成操作ではなく結果そのものを再現Recall the finished result,
not the random action.
PLAY MODEでは内蔵シーケンサーがACID!で生成したフレーズを演奏。MIDI MODEではDAWや外部MIDIから届くNote / MIDI CCで同じmsk ACID!音源を演奏します。PLAY MODE uses the internal sequencer to play phrases created by ACID!. MIDI MODE turns the internal sequencer off and plays the same msk ACID! sound engine from incoming DAW or external MIDI notes and CC.
ACID!、VARIATION、RANDOMIZE、DESTROY等のアクションそのものはMIDI CCとして再発火しません。MIDIへ保存するのは、完成したNote、Timing、Accent、Slide、音色状態と必要なパラメーター変化です。Actions such as ACID!, VARIATION, RANDOMIZE and DESTROY are not re-triggered as MIDI CC. MIDI stores the finished notes, timing, Accent, Slide, sound state and required parameter changes.

RESETを押すと、PLAY MODE・PLAY ON・VOLUME 80%を含む全ユーザーパラメーターを起動時の初期値へ戻し、CC記録、フレーズ履歴、RANDOMIZEのUNDO、発音中Voice、Delay残響、MIDI MODE側の一時Overrideをクリアします。RESET restores every user-facing parameter to its startup default, including PLAY MODE, PLAY ON and VOLUME 80%, and clears CC recording, phrase history, RANDOMIZE undo, active voices, Delay tails and temporary MIDI MODE overrides.

初期設定から再開Restart from defaults
初期値へ戻した後、KEY=C、SCALE=Minor、STYLE=Classic、BARS=1、OCTAVE=0、ACID RANGE LOW=0 / HIGH=0 / AUTO OFF、ACID Slider=64、VOLUME=80%等の初期条件から新しいフレーズを生成します。DAW側のBPMやTransport自体は変更しません。After initialization, a fresh phrase is generated from the default setup such as KEY=C, SCALE=Minor, STYLE=Classic, BARS=1, OCTAVE=0, ACID RANGE LOW=0 / HIGH=0 / AUTO OFF, ACID Slider=64 and VOLUME=80%. Host DAW BPM and transport are not changed.
